Teenagers show off legal knowledge at annual mooting
Law students at Strode's College practised their legal skills at a moot on Wednesday.
Four A-level students took part in the grand final of the mooting competition - which sees teenagers playing the part of lawyers pitted against each other in a mock court - after winning their way through the knock-out stages in June.
Pascale Cibrario and Roberto Kehinde, both 17, gained victory in the court battle, which was presided over by law lecturer Dr Peter Jepson and college principal Dr Frank Botham, over fellow students Sarina Worley and Iman Kara-Ali, both 17. The winning pair were presented with law books.
Dr Peter Jepson, who is head of the law department, said: "There is no better way to learn and enjoy the law than through mooting. It develops confidence, while establishing legal and analytical skills."
