College gains Steinway status
The music department of Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham will be hosting a free reception on Wednesday October 15 from 6.30pm to celebrate its new status as an All Steinway School.
The achievement marks the end of a three-year programme to acquire all its pianos from renowned company Steinway and Sons.
The lecture, teaching and practise rooms will now all use Steinway and Boston pianos.
The reception takes place in the foyer of the Windsor Building and includes a short recital from pianist James Kirby.
