Holloway lays on boffins' fair
Students got the chance to pursue a future in medical science at a careers fair.
The South East Health Technology Alliance student event was held at Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham earlier this month and gave health and bioscience companies the chance to highlight their work to graduates with a view to future recruitment.
Companies, including Chelsea Technologies Group, Cognitive Drug Research and CMC Consulting, were represented at the fair where they gave a small presentation to the students, explaining exactly what they do and the type of people they were looking to employ.
The students then had the opportunity to talk with the representatives and give them their CVs.
Head of the college career service, which organised the fair, Elizabeth Wilkinson, said: "The college has an excellent reputation in sciences, but despite this many graduates can find it difficult to secure their first job in an applied science.
"This scheme provides opportunities for our students to increase their knowledge, experience a working environment and develop skills that can help them find their preferred job after graduation."
