Terri-&-Gemma.jpgCompeting in the style of TV's The Apprentice, 10 Runnymede Council staff are on a mission to fundraise in a teamworthy spirit that would surprise Sir Alan Sugar.

Not for them is the cry of why shouldn't I fire you? Rather, it is the team shout of "how do we inspire you" in their 14 challenges to raise £3,000, at least, in the month of April.

Already, the Runnymede April Fools have clocked four challenges to test their own stamina and creativity, as well as the wallets and purses of colleagues.

The clock, presented to the town of Egham by the Egham Gardens & Allotments Association to celebrate it's 50th anniversary, was originally placed on the side of Clarke Brothers Butchers in the High Street in 1991.
