A Playtime Toddler Group is holding its annual Cream Tea event on Friday, June 19 from 1pm until 2.45pm at the St John's Church Centre, Manor Farm Lane.
Parents and carers with pre-school children are welcome to attend.
A PhD student from Royal Holloway, University of London came runner up in a national composing competition.
Richard Norris, was one of four runners up in the Imperial War Museum's inaugural Young Composer's Competition, launched to mark the 90th anniversary of the First World War.
Richard's war-themed composition will be performed at an evening concert at the museum on Tuesday, June 23, at 7pm. Tickets cost £5 and are available on 0207 416 5439.
Students at ACS Egham International School celebrated the end of their studies with a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 12.
During the ceremony, the students were addressed by Tracy Edwards, who skippered the first all-female crew to sail round the world in 1989.
The students have recently completed the International Baccalaureate, Diploma or Certificates and have applied to leading universities around the world.
Popular stand up comedy night, Comedy on the Green returns to the Social Hall, Harvest Road, on Tuesday, June 23, from 7.45pm.
This month's headline act is cabaret double act, Topping and Butch, who will be supported by Luke Toulson and compere Mike Manera.
Fathers can get a special Fathers Day treat by getting free entry to the Savill Garden on Sunday, June 21.
The gardens are now just coming into bloom with the June Border displaying interesting varieties of roses, groups of shrubs and a range of early summer flowering plants that include cultivars of perennial poppies and peonies.
Entry is normally £7.50.
Sporting students from the Hythe Community School will pit their athletic prowess against 16 other schools in a regional competition.
The Elmbridge & Runnymede School Sports Association (ERSSA) District Sports Competition is being held on at the Stompond Lane Sports Ground, on Wednesday June 17, from 12.30pm until 4pm.
The students will compete across various events including sprints, relay races and long jump.
Students from ACS Egham International School enjoyed sporting successes last month.
The Girls' Varsity Football team won the International School Sports Association's (ISSA) annual tournament, which was hosted at the school.
THE Tories claimed wins in Egham last night (Thursday, June 4) in the county council and borough elections.
County councillor Yvonna Lay retained her Egham Hythe and Thorpe seat by an impressive margin while fellow Conservative, Gill Warner, fended off the competition to win the Egham Hythe seat in the borough by-election.
I have worked in Egham for more than 25 years. Now retired from Procter & Gamble (P&G), I continue to be heavily involved in local community work. I am an Officer of many voluntary organisations in Runnymede (RAVS, AIR, Egham Royal Show) and for this and fund-raising work I have become known as 'Mr Runnymede'.
Royal Holloway, University of London, hosts its annual Garden Party on Sunday, June 7 from 1pm until 5.30pm.
Activities include more than 50 art and craft stalls, magic shows, children's rides, face painting, raffle, barbecue and live music by local jazz band the Brass Monkeys.
