Egham art exhibition great success

The Mayor of Runnymede was among many visitors admiring the talents on offer during Runnymede Art Society's autumn exhibition.
Runnymede mayor, councillor Paul Tuley (Conservative) visited the show, which took place at the Literary Institute, Egham High Street, on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, November 1.
Organiser Joy Doleman said she was delighted with the turn out and how the show had gone.
She said: "It was a very well attended show and some twenty-four framed paintings and several pieces of handcrafted jewellery were sold including two paintings by local artist Edwin Cripps who describes himself as an an artist of the absurd.
"After our final figures are complete we hope to make a small financial profit. I would like to thank all the members of the public who visited and our members for their hard work and support."
The exhibition was opened by the Mr Tuley who said he was very impressed with diversity of subject matter and the excellent standard of paintings on view.
The public who visited were also asked to vote for their favourite painting and the overall winner was Keith Coulson for his picture, 'Boots'.
