Santander Launched in Egham High Street
Egham residents are set to benefit from the rebranding of the Abbey building society as Santander.
The change, which takes place today, gives Abbey customers access to Santander's vast UK network of more than 1,000 branches across the UK.
Alison Brittain, Executive Director, Retail Distribution at Santander UK said: "As well as making it even more convenient for our customers to bank with us by offering them access to more than 1,000 Santander branches, the change marks the emergence of a challenger bank on the high street that offers customers security, value and real choice."
Santander is a global brand that has branches in over 40 countries around the world. To reflect this, Santander is offering its customers such advantages as no charges for use of ATMs worldwide, no foreign exchange fees and fee-free debit card usage for purchases worldwide.
Around 300 branches in the South East will also be renamed today, with another 700 across the UK to be completed by the end of January.
