Runnymede committee maintains Airtrack objection

Runnymede Council's Economic Development Committee re-enforced the council's objections to the Airtrack rail scheme going ahead without mitigation measures for the town's level crossings.

The committee voted last week to accept BAA's latest environmental statement in support of the proposed rail-link, but not without again expressing its concern at the potential increase to barrier downtimes in Runnymede.
