An Ideal Husband in Thorpe

Are you missing your fix of Downton Abbey? Do you need more class and fabulous frocks in your life? Then Thorpe Players may have the answer. Their next play is An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde, and plays don't come much classier than that.

A story about an honest politician whose past catches up with him, director Valerie Lane says that "the play may have been written in 1895, but some issues don't change, and human nature certainly doesn't! The cast have worked incredibly hard to make sure that the play is both enjoyable and relevant to a modern audience." All Wilde's usual and clever story-telling is contained in this classic comedy, which is at Thorpe Village Hall from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st May at 8pm.
