A transport collectors fair takes place at the Hythe Centre, Thorpe Road, on Saturday, February 13, from 10.30am until 3.30pm.

The fair will feature collectables for bus, tram, trolleybus, rail and underground. Access is via the vintage bus service 441c from 10.10am via Staines bus station, stand 3.

A special vocal workshop for aspiring singers will take place at the Hythe Centre, Thorpe Road on Saturday, February 6 at 10.30am.

The event, which runs until 3.30pm is oganised by the The Hythe Singers and costs £30 per person.

A special Songs of Praise for older members of the community will take place at St Paul's Church, Thorpe Road, on Wednesday, February 3 from 2.30pm.

The event is organised by Age Concern Runnymede and will provide disability friendly transport for those who require it.

The Royal Holloway Chorus are looking for new members ahead of the new term's concert.

The chorus will present a full performance of Berlioz's 'Te Deum' and will be auditioning members of the public as well as students from Royal Holloway. The show will be perfomed in conjunction with the Royal Holloway Symphony Orchestra at Windsor Parish Church on Saturday, February 27.

A workshop to discuss the socio-economic impact of a proposed marine protection area (MPA) around an archipelago in the Indian Ocean will take place at Royal Holloway, University of London on January 7.

The one-day event will be opened by Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn, who also chairs the Chagos Islands All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), and will bring together a number of high-profile groups and individuals who have an interest in the Chagos islands, where the MPA is proposed, the islands' residents or marine protection more broadly.

It is considered the establishment of the MPA may require a possible resettlement of the archipelago.

The Christmas Kitchen in the High Street will remain open until December 31.

The kitchen, which provides meals for those in need, as well as the chance for some company, is run by St John's Church and is open both Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but is closed Sundays.

A Christmas Kitchen oranised by a local church will help provide a place for people in need to get a meal and smoe company during the festive season.

The kitchen, run by St John's Church, will be open every day, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day, from Saturday, December 12 until Thursday, December 31, but closed on Sundays.

A Junior Christmas Carol Concert will take place at the Magna Carta Theatre, Thorpe Road, on Monday, December 14 at 7.30pm.

The concert will be performed by students from Thorpe Lea Primary School.

The Oxfam shop in the High Street is promoting its Fairtrade products on Saturday, December 12.

A special seasonal range of Fairtrade products will be available instore to buy, with profits going to the charity.

The Rotary Club will be aided in its Christmas collections this year by the Mayor of Runnymede.

Councillor Paul Tuley will join the rotarians, along with Father Christmas and his sleigh, outside Tesco in the High Street on Saturday, December 12 at 12noon where the group will be making charitable collections.
